Time Travel Theory

I'll be with you in a minute.

Is time travel possible? Most websites with the heading of time travel begins with such theories of absolute space, exotic material, gravitational wave, quantum gravity and mechanics, singularities, worm holes, and time machines. Instead, as usual, we at the Grassy Knoll Institute are taking the road least traveled. In fact, a road never before taken. You see, all the debates are about theorems and their possibilities. The Grassy Knoll Institute is going to put the theorems to action and see where and when they take us.

To achieve time travel, one has to manipulate Einsteins theory of relativity. First, we need to construct a ship that will enable us to put the theory of relativity to the test. Some envision a time machine like the H.G. Wells version of an easy chair with bells, lights, and whistles on it. Good for the movies, not practical for real life.

Instead, we need a space vehicle able to withstand massive amounts of force with an inexhaustible fuel source. Nuclear power is already available, just not permissible with so many variables such as a crash landing, technical difficulties at take-off, theft of a nuclear powered ship, transport of the ship, and many other variables. The capability is there however, and if the ship design could be mapped out, the power source would soon follow. So, we have the engine power. Now we need the design.

Keeping in mind Einstein's equation of E=MC2, knowing that as you approach the speed of light, your mass increases making it more difficult to maintain your speed. The more you increase your speed, the heavier your ship becomes thus using more of the ships energy to maintain its speed.

How do we get around this? We need to get simplistic here. One theory is to use an egg shape design for the ship with the ability for the contents to shift back and forth much like the yolk of an egg. With this design, we can utilize the slingshot effect to achieve the force to exceed the speed of light and to achieve time travel.

Here is the scenario, the egg shaped ship approaches the speed of light using its nuclear reactor engines. As the ship increases in speed, mass at the front of the ship begins to increase. Using the properties of the egg design, the weight of the ship much like a yolk of an egg is shifted to the rear making the front of the ship lighter. The front of the ship is now out of the laws of Einstein as it becomes lighter instead of heavier and faster as the front exceeds the speed of light. As the front of the ship exceeds the speed of light, it would pull the rest of the ship right along until the entire ship is exceeding the speed of light and the ship and it's crew are now time travelers.

Simple.......
