Wedgewood Pizza - Boardman Ohio

Wedgewood Pizza - Boardman
Wedgewood Pizza has branched out and has another pizza place in Boardman, Ohio. It's been there for several years and I have eaten there several times and decided to check in and critique the famous pizza.
Wedgewood 16 Inch with Chicken Topping
Ordering was standard fare, call your order in, (16 inch pizza with a topping of chicken on half the pizza) and was told 20 minutes and was given a pickup number.

In 20 minutes I pulled in, and you can see by my picture of the store front that it was raining. My pizza was ready and the cashier said that the pizza would be $13.50 total.

Now, the menu states that a large pizza is $10.50 plain. Chicken as a topping was $3 dollars. I assumed that since I only asked for chicken on half the pie that the topping charge would be $1.50 but I was wrong. (Other pizza joints only charge half when you only want the topping on half. Not Boardman Wedgewood.) I paid the $13.50 and left.

The pizza tasted great. Thick crust, nice sauce, cheese, and the chicken was well cooked. All in all a perfect five rating, except for the over charge for the topping.

The Grassy Knoll Institute scores 4 out of 5 shots and recommends Boardman Wedgewood Pizza for dinner.

  1. Hmm, a bigger pizza than here but strangely enough, it's also more expensive. But the taste seem to be better.

  2. We have a local chain here in Florida called Westshore Pizza. They have great wings, and lasagna, but their pizza is iffy at best...Just makes me ask they question why would they call themselves a pizza place, instead of advertising their strengths?

PS, I am ignoring that you are recommending XXX for dinner again too... and I just find it hard to concentrate on my wings with that on... LOL

  3. Wedgewood is the best pizza around these parts and for the price, it's also the most affordable. A win win for me.

  4. First, I fixed the ending of the post. Thank you for pointing it to me. Now you know that I use a template post for my Blue Plate Special page. In fact, I use a template for every post. Just easier that way.

And yes, I also wonder why restaurants promote items that are lesser quality or taste when they have a fantastic item that people love.

  5. I felt sure that you use a template, with the number of posts you put up, you would be crazy not too. Great site by the way, I really enjoy the variety, without political rants mingled in... keep up the great work...

  6. Thank you. If it wasn't for a great tasting corned beef sandwich this site would be the porn palace.

Not that that's a bad thing.

  7. I had wedgewood before, it was good, but I had the one in Austintown, not Boardman. Probably the same though.

  8. Yes, they are the same. Now before any Austintown fanatics jump in, I have been to both places, and the pizza is made and tastes the same in the Boardman shop.
