Michael Alberini's Restaurant Chicken Parmigiana

Michael Alberini's Chicken Parm
Saturday night found us in Boardman, Ohio zeroing in on dinner. We spied Michael Alberini's restaurant on Route 224. It must have been a perfect time for it was crowded but we were seated right away. Our waiter was very nice and took our dinner orders. I selected the Chicken Parmigiana with penne pasta.

In no time at all, our drinks, (Diet Pepsi's) were delivered with some very fresh bread. The bread was Italian and cut in perfect pieces ready to butter up and eat. The taste was very good.

Just a few minutes later our dinners were brought to our table. As you can see, the portion was large. The piece of chicken was fresh, hot, and seasoned fantastic. The penne pasta was plentiful, well cooked, and tasted great. The sauce was prepared perfectly.

All this for just under 20 dollars. A real bargain.

The Grassy Knoll Diner rates 4.5 out of 5 Shots for the Chicken Parmagiana at Alberini's in Boardman, Ohio.

Down On The Boulevard Tavern

Boulevard - Chicken Parmigiano
The Boulevard Tavern has been an icon in Youngstown, Ohio for a long time. Famous for their Friday fish dinner, the Boulevard also has some very good Italian selections. One of them is the Chicken Parmigiano with a side of spaghetti.

We were seated right away and we placed our orders. The waitress was very nice and we had our Cokes in just a few minutes. I ordered the chicken Parmigiano with spaghetti.

The portion was very generous, large chicken breast cooked perfectly, topped with cheese with a zesty sauce. It was very tasty, fresh, and the spaghetti completed a great meal.

The Grassy Knoll Institute scores 4 out of 5 shots and recommends The Boulevard Tavern for dinner.

Toarmina Restaurant Of Little Italy

When in New York City, no visit is complete without a trip to Little Italy. There are many amazing restaurants to choose from. Taormina Restaurant, located on famous Mulberry Street, is one of the best ones. The atmosphere was perfect, old Italian style, waiters and servers hustling about all framed in with a wood motiff. We were seated almost immediately even though they were very busy and our waiter brought us our drinks and our menu's.

I started out with penna in tomato Sauce as an appetizer. It was a very generous portion, was prepared perfectly, and was excellent tasting. I couldn't wait for the main course. Some hot fresh bread helped wile the time until it arrived.

The main course was Chicken Parmigiana. The chicken was moist and hot, the batter breading was golden brown, the cheese was hot and smothered the generous portion, and the sauce was hot and just the right kind of spicy. The service was very quick, courteous, and friendly.

The cost, for New York, was very affordable at $25.00 plus tip.

The Grassy Knoll Institute awards 5 out of 5 shots to Taormina Restaurant and recommends it for dinner.

Roadhouse Restaurant - Chicken Parmigiana

Chicken Parmigiana At The Roadhouse

Contrary to popular belief, there are still several restaurants operating in the Youngstown, Ohio area. The Roadhouse is one of them.

Being that we were dining with a group, about 20 of us, we were still seated quite promptly. Drinks were brought up quickly and all of our orders were served hot and correct. No small task for a group of 20.

As you can see, I ordered the Chicken Parmigiana and instead of getting a side of pasta, I went off the board and ordered steak fries covered with cheese and bacon.

The chicken was very tasty, and was a very generous portion. The cheese and sauce added a nice taste to the breaded chicken. It was delicious. The fries were equally good. They had plenty of bacon bits and melted cheese. And the fries were hot. All in all, a very good dinner.

The cost, at about $15 before tip was an excellent value. Of course rolls and cokes completed the meal. The Grassy Knoll Institute rates the Roadhouse 4 out of 5 shots and recommends the Roadhouse for dinner.
