Patty and I went to "The Island" located in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee for the day. At lunch we were starving. We spotted the Timberwood Grill and quickly agreed upon lunch.
Let me say the service was fantastic, the waitress friendly and efficient. Our order was taken and our drinks brought to our table. We opted for outside on this pleasantly warm October day.
In short order, our lunch was brought out. The bacon cheeseburger was fantastic. Again, fantastic. It tasted amazing. Was well cooked. Bun fresh and good. Bacon plenty and crisp. Cheese melted.
Cost was very cheap. about $12 dollars without tip.
I highly recommend Timberwood Grill at the Island.
LURKING ON THE GRASSY KNOLL
was the island affectd by the fire in the smokies?
ReplyDeleteNo, the Island came through OK. I was there before the fire.
DeleteThat looks delicious and huge.
ReplyDeleteYes on both counts.
DeleteIs the ski lift ok, heard it was destroyed.
ReplyDeleteFrom the video I saw on the news, the Sky Lift in Gatlinburg has damage. It appeats the top of the lift was heavily damaged but it appears the lift cable and chairs came out OK.
DeleteHowever, I was not there at the time of the fire. I returned from Gatlinburg November 7th, before the fires. I am merely telling you was I saw on the news.
That is one handsome cheeseburger. Look at that bacon. Glad the fire didn't destroy everything. The way the reports were coming in, it made it sound like the whole town was engulfed in flames.
ReplyDeleteIt was very tasty. And yes, thankfully, the wildfires did not inflict as much damage as was reported.
DeleteSee, always with bacon and cheese. Never a healthy version for those keeping score.
ReplyDeleteHave you ever had a healthy version of a bacon cheeseburger?
DeleteGlad Gatlinburg and surrounding area came out better than what was being reported. And good burger choice again.
ReplyDeleteI was worried watching the news as it unfolded. reports coming in stating mass distruction. I was happy to see many of those reports were wrong.
