Blue Wolf Tavern Boardman Sign |
Blue Wolf Salad |
The salad came with my meal and as you can see, it is a standard salad. No frills attached. Just lettuce, a few onions, cabbage, cucumber, a few grated carrots, and mini tomatoes. No cheese, olives, hard-boiled eggs, celery! It was adequate, the lettuce crisp and fresh, the rest, in a word, adequate.

The service was very good, the waitress friendly and fast, the order was accurate and the food arrived in a timely manner and was good. The cost was $26.00 without tip including dessert.
The Grassy Knoll Diner scores 4 out of 5 shots and recommends the Blue Wolf Tavern for lunch and dinner. Just keep your firearms at home.

The salad looks bad but the cheese cake makes up for it. How rough of a town do you live in that says you can’t bring your guns into the restaurants.

Wow, they felt the need to post a no firearm sign, but not a no shirt no shoes no service sign…

LOL, exactly Freaksmack, exactly. However, the sign says nothing at all about rocket launchers.

Yes, brass knuckles are permitted. And the cheese cake was surprisingly good.

That is a lot of food you got there on your plate. Cracking up over the door sign no guns allowed inside.

I was sort of expecting to see a horse hitch bar on the left for the cowboys that just rode in from the trail.

I do like me some potato soup, or creamy tomato soup, or the old stand by, chicken noodle.
And we will try the Y- Sports Grill. Just haven’ gotten to it yet. Thanks for the tips.

YOU never ate at the Blue Wolf until now?!?! I was eating at the place when it was actually in Struthers. Got a great write up in the Vindy. Three buddies who wanted to start an upscale restaurant, and the rest as they say…
When they moved to Boardman, they then began to mint money, a great thing for everyone. Never had a bad meal.
Other great places to eat in Struthers, Selah. Very nice. And Fat-E’s. Really cool interior. Another example of someone sinking a lot of money, and it is turning out great!
Oh, and don’t forget the Silver Mirror, best Veal Parm in the area. Well, that or The Starlight out past Poland on 224. Great ribs too…
What? The Starlight burnt down and the Silver Mirror got razed? You don’t say?
Oh well, anyone care to meet me for a beer or three at The Shortstop over on Indianola? Or Crystal’s Tavern? The Cave? Billy the Kids? Todd is playing at the Agoura this weekend, doing a fundraiser for John Anderson for President. Wonder if local boy Gus Hall will run again? Think Tom Carney will win? Some hairdresser from Poland is running against him…

I know sometimes comments get placed in que for a small period of time to check for spam and bad links, but this comment is at least 5 years old.
And yes folks, those are all places that are/were in the Youngstown area. The Crystal Tavern had great pizza and a wicked Foos-Ball game. Ben and I were champions there.
