Youngstown Blizzard Of 2010

Last Friday began the onslaught of the blizzard of 2010 with it dumping 22 inches of snow in just under 24 hours. Last night another 4 inches were added. On Saturday morning, after shoveling the drive and getting the boy off to work, I revved up the Jeep Wrangler and went to Mill Creek Park to play in the snow. Hope you enjoy the photos.

  1. Looks like you had more than two feet of snow. Those road barriers stand almost four feet high. Sounds like you had a blast.

  3. Yes, plenty of snow. Those barriers are about 3.5 feet high. And yes, I had a blast playing in the snow with my Jeep.

  5. All we got here on the Island was wind and rain. It sucked and now I'm in bed trying not to get sicker than I already am.

  6. It's pictures like these that remind me why I left Ohio for Florida, that snow looks great in pictures, I just don't ever want to shovel it again.

  7. Yea, it was a blast to use the Jeep as it was intended. But it can turn to spring now. I'm ready for warmer weather.

  9. Hey, I see even Florida has had snow from this weather system. Read about a lot of animals dying from the cold. Of course, its probably 70 degree's in Florida today.

  10. Denifately still cold in Florida I can attest. The sugar cane field lost half the crop, oranges and lemons a funky color on the trees. Some Orange trees snapped at the trunk from the weight of frost. State put a stop to snook and other species of fishing. Dead sponges, coral, and plants litter beaches but only a few dead fish remain. No red tide- too cold. Was there a week and never put sandals or shorts on.

  11. Yes, my sister who lives in Ft. Myers says it has been cold. (For Florida) I then sent her these photos. I win!
But in reality, Nancy wins because we got two feet of snow.
