Christmas In July Leg Lamp

leg-lamp-from-a-christmas-story
Christmas In July
At the March Las Vegas ASD show, I happened upon a booth selling the infamous "Leg Lamp," from the classic movie, A Christmas Story. I had to have the Leg lamp. After a small negotiation, I bought two of them, one the full sized one pictured here and a 24 inch lamp that is in my office.

The Leg Lamp pictured is 40 inches tall, and to my knowledge, is an exact replica of the one featured in the movie right down to the fishnet stockings, fancy strings hanging from the shade, and I believe I detected just a whiff of ozone when I plugged it into the wall outlet.

It was Electric Sex at it's finest. And yes, it will be displayed in our upstairs window at Christmas.

  1. My old boss had this lamp in our shared off. Sadly, he retired in January of this year (and the lamp went with him).

  8. I deny that. You can take me to court if you like but the judge will throw the case out of court for you don't have a leg to stand on.

  10. i like the lamp but the first thing i noticed was your awewsome tv and seasons 1-4 of lost on the right side shelf. i am so jealous you get to watch lost on that t.v.! my only options are a 19inch regular box tv or i can watch the dvds on my 17 inch widescreen high defintion brightview infinity lcd display on my hp pavilion dv7 laptop which is better than the 19inch but it doesnt even compare to your lost experience. im betting you have surround sound too you lucky SOB.LOL. my laptop has HD sound and a built in subwoofer but i still cant compete with your toys. by the way what kind of computer do you have? or shall i say computers because judging by the photo above you have alot of awesome toys. (i know they arent toys and are serious equipment but i loved electronics ever since i can remember and while other kids wanted mathch box cars or action figures i would save b-day money and allowance to buy a new gismo or gadget or baisicly anything electronic even before i was in kindergarden so even though im an adult now my electronics are still my toys. LoL. what is your occupation? i should do whatever that is so i can experience lost like you do. lost is hands down by far the best/greatest story/ production ever made! wether it be a t.v. program, movie, book, play, or any other form of storytelling there is nothing else that is as good as lost. what do you think? i wish they would turn lost into a six book series (one book for each season) like they did with harry potter but obviously it would be reversed since harry potter is a book first then made into a movie whereas lost would be a show first then made into a book. i know i would still want to read them even though i saw the show, just like people read the harry potter books and still cant wait to see the movie. it doesnt matter if its the same story, its a whole different experience from watching it to reading it.what do you think? ok ima stop rambiling on but reply to this post please

  11. Yes, I do have surround sound Dolby something or other. My computer is a gateway. Here it is at this link.
    Command Center
I also have a Toshiba laptop, which is ancient. It has an inscription from Ramses II on the back.

My occupation? I am the curator of the Grassy Knoll Institute.

Lost is a very good show, one of my favorites on TV right now. Probably because it is written like the Twilight Zone, my favorite all time show.

About a Lost book, since we will all know the ending, the book would have to really go in depth with the characters to make it interesting.

And I always reply to almost every post. Sometimes a few days late, but i do get to them.

And thank you for reading and commenting.
